Our Brand Building Process

Planning & Brainstorming

The most important step - plan! Before we do anything, the most important thing is to figure out your short- and long-term brand objectives, as well as KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to create the most optimal approach for licensing and development. These objectives revolve around identifying categories, ideating creative products, and driving sales of licensed merchandise.

Together, we’ll answer the 5 Ws & H, which sets the groundwork for how we operate. These are just some of the general questions we ask pertaining to each brand - they’re different for everyone!

  • Who - What’s the target audience? Who will you sell your product or license it to? Who will be involved in the back end?

  • What - What will be the focus? What products will we want to put at the forefront? What categories do we want to target?

  • When - What’s the time frame for the rollout of the product?

  • Where - Where will we sell the product - online? In stores?

  • Why - What’s the motivation behind the product? Does it correspond with the brand identity?

  • How - What are the logistics for carrying out the plan? What moving parts need to be taken care of?

Deep Dive Into Content

Once we’ve got a plan, now it’s time to go into your brand’s content and determine what market and business opportunities are congruent with the aforementioned objectives. Selecting assets that will in turn create thoughtful product is key.

Strategizing & Preparation

Now that we know what we want to do, it is time to craft the roadmap designated to achieving it! In this process, we will gather information (requirements, vendors, turnaround time, expenses, etc.) related to each strategy and corresponding tactic needed to develop a feasible and affordable plan. As the brand grows, we will continue to identify and pursue different consumer products and licensing initiatives in accordance with the brand objectives.

Licensing, Brand Exploration, & More

Once a strategy is approved, we’ll help develop a style guide to serve as your brand’s bible for consistency in all products - including the fonts, colors, characters, etc. that define it. CWA will help produce the sales materials and promotions for licensees, partners, and retailers, as well as continually managing it and making sure it adheres to the objectives and style.
